Hi, I just saw the advert for Bikefest on the Cycle EXIF site.
Does anyone know of any good camping sites not too far away from where Bikefest will be hosted? Happy to drive and then ride if needed.
Apparently it's being hosted at Honeysuckle Precinct and cycle paths along Throsby Creek and Newcastle Foreshore.

There's here - http://stocktonbeach.com/ - which is probably the closest place there is. It's a short ferry ride across the harbour and then you're there!
Alternatively, if you're really keen on riding in, you could stay here - http://www.redheadbeach.com.au/im/home.cgi - and then ride into town via the Fernleigh Track which is a fantastic piece of infrastructure.

Haha Gorilla I had the same thought - only learned of it a few weeks ago. Let's hope it's a big success. NCM website had some info about it. I check in there once in a while and stumbled across it.gorilla monsoon wrote:Bugger me. I live here and didn't even know it was on.

Does anyone have any updates? I've been overseas on business for the last two weeks and haven't heard anything. Today was the first day -- did anyone go along for a look?
