Re: Another 4 Years of BuninyongShould be moved around so there is no advantage.

Re: Another 4 Years of BuninyongI thought c/a was only taking back control over the national road series...
Re: Another 4 Years of BuninyongI could be wrong, but as I understand it CA has always had a say in what races constitute the NRS and that they have taken over the Championships (Road and TT).

Re: Another 4 Years of Buninyong
CA have taken over control of all the events run by Caribou Publications. Caribou ran all of the national level events that were not currently being run by CA (the scody cup series: gippsland, greater south coast, murray, tasmania, + launie to new norfolk, grafton, warnie + shipwreck. AND they run nationals) So CA has taken control over what they did not control already. http://www.caribou.net.au/
Re: Another 4 Years of BuninyongI voted for Adelaide, of course.
The main reasion is that it could be a key part of the TdU festival a week before. Plenty of near city courses that can include climbs, descents etc that would be a great challenge and easy for people to see, and not have to worry about semi trailers on the course ....
Re: Another 4 Years of Buninyong
But the riders would have commitments with their teams as well. Also, I think we should spread the love around to promote cycling across the country.
Re: Another 4 Years of Buninyong
It was held in Adelaide a long time ago, but did not get much support which is part of the reason why it has been so long in its current location. Hopefully now that cycling has gotten some more traction in the minds of the major event organisers in each state CA will get more opportunities to add some variety to the course. Re: Another 4 Years of BuninyongWould be nice to see an event once in a while come north. Adelaide and Ballarat so every big event at the moment is down south.
Will however be going to the TDU this year for the ride on the Friday and then head out on the course for the last few days. May as well utilise the FF points I have accumulated for something as I don't have enough to get to Europe on them. 2013 Bupa Challange at the Tour Downunder - 25th of Jan 2013 - Raising money for the Cancel Council - bit.ly/YzLYG3

Re: Another 4 Years of BuninyongWho are you talking about the riders taking it seriously ? or the Fans ? To the first i would say yes they take it seriously to second i would say that we should. Cycling is still developing in this country and i don't think the Nationals are taken as seriously as they should be the fans sometimes.
