Columbus decals - image sourceI'm looking for a Columbus decal that I can alter in Photoshop for a project. I can't find any decent resolution pictures as a start point, and certainly no vector or PSD type images as a start point. I can understand there being a need for watermarking on images that turn up in Google search, but even those are low-DPI at best. Anyone got anything?
I figured this was the best sub-forum to ask about this. Feel free to move as required. Jim MY RIDES: My Velospace Profile
Re: Columbus decals - image sourceIn the meantime, here's one I prepared a little earlier this afternoon. Needs fillet corners.

Re: Columbus decals - image sourceAh yes, the old familiar. Perhaps I should put the word 'parody' on it, hmm? Seems to cover journalism just dandy. I wonder how old mate Greg Softley gets around that?

Re: Columbus decals - image sourcei don't know anything about trademark laws or such, but if you're making a reproduction, then you should be right.
you could ask fyxo if he has any eps files or similar. internet experts: ruining bikes since '10 | http://www.redbubble.com/people/munga
Re: Columbus decals - image sourceIf it is a parody, changing the name might help. How about
cumulus Columbu$ Columnbus I was going to buy a fast, stylish bike, but I looked in the mirror & thought "you're not fooling anyone, you know"
Re: Columbus decals - image sourceI can whip it up in Illy if you have some reference images, wouldn't waste your time in Photoshop.
Got bored, started work on it anyway. Just got to nail down the columbus font (might be easier to modify the individual characters by hand) and exact colors. Here is a WIP screencap: ![]()
Re: Columbus decals - image sourceI kinda like the name idea. How about 'Columboss'! I'm going to modify the dove into more of a seagull or a cockatoo. With appropriately placed droppings.
Did anyone see the Roobaix ones by Greg on eBay? Sweet. Jim MY RIDES: My Velospace Profile

Re: Columbus decals - image sourceThis is awesome. My photoshop skills suck. What about a Reynolds 666 decal?
Re: Columbus decals - image sourceYeah, I was thinking what you could do with a Reynolds decal. I'm sure I've seen a 666 one someplace.
Stay tuned! Jim MY RIDES: My Velospace Profile
