I am looking forward to buy my first fixie, and my budget is around $800. From the research done, there are just too many brands for me to choose from. So is there any brand in particular that offer reasonably priced but also good in terms of quality?
By the way, is avanti solo flat or solo, malvern star three star, fuji classic track, felt curbside, mongoose maurice, schwinn madison, masi fixed, felt bougham, ... etc etc.
Thanks in advance, I am really in need of advices from you guys as I lack the required knowledge.

Fuji Classic track or Fuji feather.
All the bikes in thy 500-800 bracket are pretty much identical. Buy the one that you think looks the best and be done with it.

I am looking to buy my first bike too. everyone is recommending Fuji Classic Track.
I had a look at Fuji website and discovered Fuji Declaration.
I like the look of Fuji Declaration more and I m just wondering how is Fuji Declaration compare to Fuji Classic Track?
Cheers

Well, I personally prefer fuji feather. Not so much for fuji decleration though. Just a though of my personal taste :X

Well, there are some 2011 version of fuji feather on bikeexchange.com.au , but for the latest 2012 model, it's no where to be found. So Im guessing its not available in Aus or was discontinued for the year 2012. If you have a look at the US Fuji site, they do have feather in their range of ss bike.
