Anyone have experience with this?

Looking to purchase as an upgrade to my Tora Solo Airs and would appreciate any thoughts/experiences.

Cheers!

The link you posted says those forks are discontinued.
I have owned Recon Gold RL's which were great, but unless your Toras only have TK damping it wouldnt be much of an upgrade IMHO

Yep, getting the 2010 model from a mate.

Thanks for your input limetang. The Toras have TK lockout and Steel Stanchions, not sure about the damping. The Recon Race have Motion Control and Aluminum Stanchions.

Dont have the most technical knowledge when it comes to suspension so hence the post. What does RL mean?

I had a great time on my Recons back in the day.

RL stands for (adjustable) Rebound damping, Lockout.
...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Oh OK, Rebound Lockout vs. my current Toras which are Turnkey Lockout. Once my riding can justify, I'll get them fancy Fox shocks. The Recons will do for now. :D

Can anyone recommend a good site explaining all these technicalities ?

I have Roxkshox Solo Air internals in all of my Cannondale Lefty forks. It means you don't have to fluff about with manually setting the air pressure for the negative spring like you do with the SIDs.

Bottom line is that the fork works really well. Alloy stanchions make the bike lighter, the front end less flexy and the damping is linear and smooooth :)

Not fluffing around with 2 chambers sounds good! :D
