I have a 2011 GT Avalnche frame and was wondering if anybody knows the seat post size and also the seat post clamp size?

Likely to be the same as the 2008 unless anybody knows otherwise:

My bike blog. Long on rumination, rambling and opinion. Why let facts ruin everything?

Pull out your seatpost and it should be on there.
The clamp may also have it on the inside.

Would do that If I could.....building a bike from a brand new 2011 frame...no parts came with frame!

Thanks for that but....not the correct size. I ride a 2004 gt and that has the same size as the 08. I know that won't fit the 11 frame.
thanks

'12 models are 30.9mm

Presume '11 would be the same as it'd a fairly standard seatpost size for a trail bike these days.

Had a further sniff around and the description from the GT catalogue is the same for both years, except '11 omits the diameter.
