Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling ExpresBut the frame looks nice! I'd rather have a better frame anyway.
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling ExpresRode home with a gent who had the Azzuri tonight. He was very happy with it.
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Expres
Price came down a bit, 2699 now from the 2999.
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Expres
will come down further shortly with the release of the new di-2 you'd think
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Expres
Doubt it as the change is to Dura Ace Di2, not Ultegra Di2 It's a bit warmer here than Scotland isn't it!
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Expres
of course, my mistake
Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling ExpressMight as well just get one of the giants with di2, you can find them for less than $3,000 now.

Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Expresbit more expensive with lower spec, but it was a known brand name on the downtube

Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Expres
You shouldn't look at a German car ever again then....
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling ExpresI notice that the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Express has just become even better value as they have dropped the price to $2399
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling ExpresHi everyone, i was wondering how your Azzurri bakes are holding up? and i wanted to announce that i have bit the bullet and ordered myself one, hopefully for an august delivery, they sent an e-mail giving 10% off store wide so i couldn't resist at that kind of discount.
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling ExpresIt's holding up very well. Mine was delivered last October and has done over 4000km. The only real problems were a creaky seatpost (fixed with carbon prep paste) and now the bottom bracket has just started an occasional "tick" at 3 o'clock on the right pedal downstroke (to be fixed when I'm bothered enough).
Two weeks ago I ran over something at high speed in the dark on my morning commute - looking at another cyclist up ahead instead of looking at what my lights were revealing on the road. I was thrown forward and lost my grip on the bars, almost coming off the bike! Bicycle Network Victoria's "Ride On" magazine did a review on the bike in their latest issue (Aug-Sep 2012). They found the frame to be too stiff for their liking. Great for high speed downhill stability, but not so great for comfort or feedback. I disagree and am very happy with the frame.
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling ExpresI'm coming to the conclusion that stiffness is rather subjective, unless you are saying "this is more stiff than X, and less stiff than Y, and around the same as Z". I spoke to CE's Azzurri bloke and he found the Forza Pro to be quite nice, and the Mezzo *paraphrase - didn't ruin him*.
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling ExpresI've seen (or think I have, hard to know but they look very similar) this frame in Hong-fu form... From the rider reports, they seem to be good bikes. There are plenty of other Di2 options for under 3k now with the 2013 stock coming in... all look very similar

Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling ExpresNo press fit bottom bracket- that's a bit strange.
The bike isn't my cup of tea, looks very bland and like a generic run of the mill job, but good intro do electronic shifting I guess. S-Works Venge

If you're a Fuji man with deeper pockets, this might be more your go, Mark ... ![]()
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Expresummm...
I've got an SST 1.0 already man, but thanks for asking S-Works Venge
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Expres
Yep, but that's a 2.0 with Di2 ...
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Expres1.0 with DA Di2 is ultimate!

Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling Expres
Good on you for not having buyer's remorse, Mark!
Re: Reviews of the Azzurri Di2 Forza Pro from Cycling ExpresIf I had deeper pockets I might have gone for a more exotic brand like kuota or something but alas I don't and I am yet to see a really negative review on the Di2 forza so I bit the bullet and pre-ordered one last week. Missed the $50 price drop so got it for $2449.
Gonna be a step up though from my 9.5kg Kona Zing with 105!! My front derailleur on the Kona is really crap and keeps dropping the chain no matter how finely I adjust it, so I'm gonna be so happy to have a front shifter that works beautifully.
