WTS - Giessauf Single Speed Retro Restoration - Adelaide

Postby Sharpie » Wed May 14, 2008 2:36 pm

Alas, my newly finished baby has to go to make some room in my shed.

The bike is a Giessauf from the late '70s with a fairly relaxed geometry. I have set the bike up for me and it has been 'fitted' for my 176cms.

I have used top qulaity componentry for the resto and my asking price is less than half of what it has cost me.

The Frame -
Sand blasted full frame
The frame was realigned for modern hubs on a job
Reprofiled fron fork drop outs to suit modern track axels
Full Two-pack Primer
Custom made frame decals
Full respray in Honda Accord Euro Grey

The Wheelset -
Alex Rims Costini R1.1 track wheel set - brand new
Michelin tubes - brand new
Michelin Orion tyres in near new condition

The Drivetrain -
FSA Pista bottom bracket - brand new
FSA Vero cranks - brand new
Shimano Pista chain - brand new

The Brakeset -
Shimano Weinmann NOS - brand new

Other gear -
Cinelli handlebars
Cinelli head stem
Re-chromed original headset
Custom made seat post to suit the European tubing (26mm)
Selle Italia Oktavia Gel Saddle

Everything has been done properly on this bike and it has done less than 50kms since completion.

Price is - $500 :( but I keep the pedals.

Pics below - I can be contacted on sharprobert at bigpond.com

I'm pretty sure this was on ebay a few months ago, so I would guess it got sold.
