As a shift worker I have to ride a lot at night alone and I have to say that this is pretty boring and probably a little unsafe.
Are there any other shifties out there that have the problem of not being able to group with other riders?
BTW, I do have an trainer for inside but that can get a little boring.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone.
Actually I work permanent 12 hours from lunchtime onwards so I usually get home well after midnight. So riding time is usually in hours of darkness before sun up. Days off are spent either at the gym, catching up on house work (single guy) or riding with a couple of friends when I can get them organised.
I know that not many people are up and around at my time of night but I was curious as to how others cope with weird shifts, etc.
Todd.
PS, At the moment I am off the bike and confined to the gym after a little car accident.

Why not get home and sleep straight away and get up at 9am for an hour of riding before other activities? Or do you just prefer to stay up until wee hours before getting to bed?
