Thanks for the stats - i have a Bryton but it never gives me atmospheric temperatures when i ride with it in the back pocket.
Quite a memorable morning - got home to find that Australia had doubled its Gold medal count thanks to Anna Meares and then Sally Pearson.
A priceless moment in Australian cycling history

Ha, i'm the opposite, I hate this weather, the last few weeks were OK, but its starting to warm up and I don't like it. Days that get over 21-22 are getting too hot for me. Loved last month, I was in NZ for a month where it was -8 - 10 most of the time... perfect.

Finally it's the typical winter weather....this is THE best time of the year, cool mornings, warm days just before the maggies and snakes start coming out to play!!

And no rain for a month is making it even better :D

Knocked around by the westerlies this morning.
Not cold, but not hot either.
Lots of sticks and twigs from the gum trees on the road.
No cane toads - they don't like this type of weather.
But dogs obviously do.

Do not enjoy having to stand up while going down hills to keep speed up.

Great time to break some koms if you find the right facing hill 8)

Not the best morning to be up Coottha today...very gusty for the whole lap, plus all the sticks and rubbish made for a slow descent across the top and down the front....hopefully these winds will depart along with the Ekka

I can say the first leg of the Ride To Conquer Cancer had pretty big head winds all day. The winds had better not stop tomorrow as I want tail winds! :-)

Sundays ride.
The phone said minimum of 8°. Apparently, (in retrospect the whole bunch must have seen the same mins and dressed acordingly) it wasn't going to be too cold and we were going to be out for 100ks so the general thought was to come home comfortable.
WRONG. Headed inland and north from Noosa towards Boreen Point on McKinnon Drive and the temperature dropped and continued dropping to 2°. We froze as everyone had dressed lightly, including a couple of riders in short gloves and no leg warmers.
Man, we really enjoyed the workout up reverse Coroioba to start warming up and it wasn't until we got to the top of Cudgerie with some sun that life became bearable.

It was a great ride though.

Very nice this morning, loving this no rain spell and even nicer now that the winds have abated!

This morning was noticeably warmer.. no need for a jumper on the ride in I'm thinking.

Had a lunch time run.. oh boy, felt like a combination of sahara heat mixed with the humidity of FN Qld. It's going to be a struggle acclimatising to the heat again

I think I'm going to have to get an indoor trainer and live in the air con, it's already too hot for me (we are back to having the air on 24/7)...

Just got back from a month in NZ to try and make it through this "winter" you think you have, winter here is more like tassie summer. I don't like it.

You're gonna suffer once we get to Spring next month, then possibly die 3 months later when summer hits.
Or maybe you just ride at the wrong time of the day?

Never thought I'd say it in August, but at 5am today it was almost too warm. Had spring gear on and we ended up a pool of sweat.

^^yes i'll have to be going earlier.

saw a guy out the other day (when it was 26 at around lunch time) full winter gear on, longens, thermal and one of those around the neck warmer things pulled up onto his chin...I'd be dead without riding in that...
