How long before SBS pick up full coverage of this and the Giro?
Any way looking forward to the show down between Contador and Froome, also seeing how the time off has effected Contador should be interesting. Typical Vuelta, trying to out the Giro in all out craziness in the parcours department. Also Cameron Meyer in a Grand Tour, even one as climber focused as this should be worth watching as well .

Wondering how well Froome has recovered from the tour. If he is at the same level he was at the tour then Contador v Froome should be well worth watching

Just checking the Foxtel guide and it looks like Eurosports are showing every stage live plus replaying them the next day. I think I'll just set my box to record it and watch it when I can.

Yep, very excited about this one. Can't wait to see how Sky play it.
I will be very surprised if we see another "450 watt Diesel Train" like the Tour. I think the legs will be tired, the hills too steep, and Bertie's attacks in front of the home crowd will be more venomous than anything we saw in France.
Bertie by less than a minute (...but would be happy to see Froome on the top step in Madrid).

I certainly think we missed someone who can attack uphill like Contador in the Tour. How will this go against the diesel Sky train? Who can tell but I hope it makes for a more exciting race and breaks things up a bit.

& it seems Sky play it by attacking when the leader crashes. Classy move guys!

Sky did that once before at Qatar, and got it paid back in spades. Be interesting to see what happened. I don't buy the "I didn't know" routine. Mind you, it was only Valverde. So go Sky GO !!!!!

Good win for Clarke, certainly deserved. On Sky from what i can tell they started an echelon which caused alot of scrambling to not get left behind and Valv Piti. got caught up in it. Movistar did it in this years Tour and Paris Nice aswell so they can't really complain, having said that this is the Vuelta and its a Spanish team expect some bad behavior from the Spanish fans.

Yeah, it's a bit rich for a drug cheat to complain about "fair play". Next thing you know clembutador will be complaining someone attacked when he dropped a chain

Who was the rider from yesterday's stage (Stage 4) who thought he had won? That was funny.

Would be easy to right Contador off, but i think most of the time was lost in the last 500m, will be interesting to see if Sky can continue to set that pace on some of the longer climbs. Not sure they will.
