On a hot day I'll have a Powerade or similar, otherwise it's just plenty of water.

I have a free supply of SIS stuff so use that... Usually chuck a small bottle of long life milk in the car to mix with the powder when ready plus a can of fruit to get some easy to digest carbs in.

LOL, I was planning to buy stuff from SIS. Are they any good?toolonglegs wrote:Dépends what you are recovering from. For training I just eat and drink normal stuff. But I do find them handy after a race / on a stage race / when finishing a training ride far from home... As I want to get the recovery process started quickly after a hard effort and not an hour or so later when I get home.

Have you tried Dextro before? and if you have, how does SIS compare to it?toolonglegs wrote:They are all much the same to me... I like my recovery drinks with milk, but the SIS ones are good with water as well unlike some I have tried!.

Then I suggest you to try it out. Even though it's my first and only sports nutritient supply, I must say that it tastes pretty good on my scale.toolonglegs wrote:No I haven't even heard of it sorry.15wilsonwu wrote:Have you tried Dextro before? and if you have, how does SIS compare to it?toolonglegs wrote:They are all much the same to me... By the way, does the SIS Go Energy come with a scoop or something? cause it looks like it doesnt since it's in a bottle. And if it doesnt, how do you measure how much you need without using the SIS bottle? like, does it say how much grams of powder you need per ... milliliters?toolonglegs wrote:They are all much the same to me... I don't use it after every ride but i do use it for rides over 2 - 3hrs+ and before using it i was really tired after a big ride for the rest of the day or sometimes weekend, now i take it as soon as i finish the ride, it's just a powder added to water, and it works a treat.
I guess it depends on how serious you want to get, i was just using gatorade or water but decided to ditch them for the Hammer products as a riding friend was raving about them, i did some reading about them and they seemed good and they made a huge difference to me personally, a month before last years around the bay i decided to go just with them and completed it in good time with no other energy bars or food and felt great after the recovery drink so i can't argue with that.
Cheers,
Brett...
