Cell Cileto frame plus parts from the Cell fixie (Wheels, Crank set, Handlebars, brake levers) and an old Giant (seat post and brakes) proper top tube cable brackets yet to arrive. Pazzaz stem which came with drop bars but decided on the flats. Maxxis re-fuse tyres. Seat found in a bike shops bargain bin.

Had 46x16 freewheel and fixed, I changed the freewheel to an Shimano 18 so I could actually ride it, I'm waiting on the 18 fixed gear to arrive still.

Not the cheapest fixie - $250 frame, $250 donor cell fixie plus the other bought bits - but I had fun building it and I love riding it.

Very nice, looks rideable not suicidal - a fine line! You running fixed or single? I'm partial to single over fixed for commuting - but hey each to their own :P

The cell ciletto is one of the more nicer 'low end' steel lugged frames, very under rated imo.

I found an XL sized 80's road frame to suit my height better than my other bikes, so I built another Gulf bike...vulgar, yes but, well...it's done now

+1 gah-zillion points for attention to detail...I wonder how many people noticed that you even rotated to the wheels so that both valves were at TDC for the photo  Regardless of individual taste you can't argue with the quality of the finish. Very nice indeed.

Scrounged the parts boxes for parts to create a suitably hideous beater:

And no, I'm not going to be running it 52/16 fixed! Going to source a 44/46T ring for it.

Nice ride

52:16 is a great ratio IMO
I used to ride it fixed as a courier and loved the speed but, after riding about 80-100km a day over 10 hours, my knees are knackered so I'm now riding 44:16 free-wheel :(

My first serious attempt at something I can use on local trails and an attempt to beat off the winter flab.

Bam, thats one straight out of the MTB museum innit?! Very nice.

In other news, moar hideous-ness:

Had to put the Suntour Sprint cranks on it, cause the Edge cranks didn't give me the right chainline on that BB. 52T ring for now, till I get a 46.

Not yet finished. The cable ties on the top tube need replacing with proper cable clamps and the brakes replaces with some with a longer reach.
It would not be at all strange if history came to the conclusion that the perfection of the bicycle was the greatest achievement of the nineteenth century.

I thought those Evil Residents were made to suit 39-49mm calipers, but I guess you couldn't run guards if they were. Is it just me or is it a tiny-bit-sloping TT?

I can tell you as a fact that standard Tiagra brakes don't fit (unless you want the calipers working on your tyres. I have some 57mm Miche calipers on order from Wiggle which should fit. There is a slight down slope on the top-tube. As the brakes aren't working I haven't really ridden it, except for up and down the drive but it feels light (around 10 kg), fast and comfortable.
