Had 46x16 freewheel and fixed, I changed the freewheel to an Shimano 18 so I could actually ride it, I'm waiting on the 18 fixed gear to arrive still.
Not the cheapest fixie - $250 frame, $250 donor cell fixie plus the other bought bits - but I had fun building it and I love riding it.

And no, I'm not going to be running it 52/16 fixed! Going to source a 44/46T ring for it.

Nice ride
52:16 is a great ratio IMO
I used to ride it fixed as a courier and loved the speed but, after riding about 80-100km a day over 10 hours, my knees are knackered so I'm now riding 44:16 free-wheel

In other news, moar hideous-ness:
Had to put the Suntour Sprint cranks on it, cause the Edge cranks didn't give me the right chainline on that BB. 52T ring for now, till I get a 46.

Not yet finished. The cable ties on the top tube need replacing with proper cable clamps and the brakes replaces with some with a longer reach.

I can tell you as a fact that standard Tiagra brakes don't fit (unless you want the calipers working on your tyres. I have some 57mm Miche calipers on order from Wiggle which should fit. There is a slight down slope on the top-tube. As the brakes aren't working I haven't really ridden it, except for up and down the drive but it feels light (around 10 kg), fast and comfortable.familyguy wrote:I thought those Evil Residents were made to suit 39-49mm calipers, but I guess you couldn't run guards if they were. Is it just me or is it a tiny-bit-sloping TT?
