Newb looking for a SS/Fixie
Postby PR1MO » Fri Aug 17, 2012 10:07 am
Have been browsing this forum for the past few days, I'm interested in getting a SS/Fixie just for short commutes and a bit of fun cruising around on the weekends. I was a BMX rider all through my teens/early 20's (29 now) and have been missing getting out on a bike lately.
Anyway I'm looking to spend ~$500, just to see how I go, after some digging I am looking at a few options and would like some opinions.
So far my list is:
Avanti Solo
Fuji Declaration/Classic/Feather
Marin Inverness
Raleigh Back Alley
Norco Indie
Haro Objekt
The last 2 I'm not so sure about, seem a bit more "trick" oriented, although could still be fun. Anyone have any opinions? Thanks for any input.

If I have to recommend a god damn Fuji Track Classic/Feather again I'm going to flip. They are the best bang for buck bike out there so buy one and ride it.

Sorry for asking, must be a common question. Anyway thanks for your response. Probably will go with the Feather since the Track Classic seems to have hi-ten forks.
