Hopefully your kids are better, and the only thing keeping you up all night, is the TV coverage.

Exciting and unexpected ending up the top of the mountain. Enjoying this tour the most out of the big 3.

I also loved the way Bertie took it easy after his terrific breakaway and didn't realize Valverde and Rodriguez were behind him until he was overtaken metres from the line!jejack wrote:Loved how Contador said no to Froome to go in front! .

Contador was buggered, not taking it easy.clackers wrote:I also loved the way Bertie took it easy after his terrific breakaway and didn't realize Valverde and Rodriguez were behind him until he was overtaken metres from the line!jejack wrote:Loved how Contador said no to Froome to go in front! .

Velonation (or it could have been cycling news) suggested he had bike trouble. I too think he was popped... although I must say the sight of Valverde and Rodriguez rounding the last bend out of the saddle pushing big gears was brilliant.MarkG wrote:

I don't think he knew they were there, Mark!MarkG wrote:

They were behind him, around the corner, and the TV coverage hadn't captured this either, so his team car wouldn't have known.

Is he a cousin of Boonen ? His nodding dog style of sprinting is really annoying to watch. I'm expecting his head to just drop off one day

The real Tour begins, Contador has reasons to be happy.

We are seeing Contador at his peak and Froome after a massive TdF, it's not really a level playing field, but it makes next years TdF look a whole lot more exciting than this years!

Expectations for Froome were optimistic at best. He's done quite well.
Contador, looking down the barrel. 13" at the 13th. Looking quite good.
Sights are set.
