I notice that Wiggle blame customs a lot on the delays of parcels. Not sure how true this is, but if so, customs need a kick up the back side.

Wiggle refunded money back to my Paypal account last night , admitting the parcel must be lost.

Will try reordering again , as what I ordered , is a brand only they sell , and it was quite cheap.
Will give it another chance , realising that it isn't their fault that the first one went missing.

In fairness to customs they have instructed to pay a far great amount of attention to the importation goods into the country over the last 5 year's with little or no increases to resourses. In addition they have also bee instructed to confirm packages values when the declareec amounts come close to the $1000 threshold.

Also AQIS will stop any package which may have a food product for inspection.

Hi chain reaction

I have now received the replacement brakes - thanks for those.

However, they were sent incomplete - in particular, without the 6 x disc rotor mounting bolts. I think there were a few other spare bolts and an instruction manual - all of which I returned as required by c r c - but I really only need the rotor bolts to make it work. Could you please send those?

It's now been over a month since I sent the faulty brakes, and 2 months since I first ordered them. I've had no rear disc brakes during that time, which has been a major inconvenience, to put it mildly.

Regards

Bought a 3t seatpost from chainreaction. Quick postage of about 4 days. Even better was the fact that shipping was free and signed-for.

Ordered 4 items from c r c recently. Website said they were "dispatched", fyi I paid the $25 for express shipping.

A few days later I received an email stating that one of the items was no longer available and that c r c had refunded the appropriate amount, same email offered me a $8 Aud discount off my next purchase and also provided details on how to get express shipping for free on the item, or similar, that was no longer available.

Very kind offer i thought, and chose a different item, but the express shipping discount didn't work - so another email I fire off explaining the situation and Susan at c r c said no problems, and refunded me the correct amount.
A week later the second order arrives first, a day after that the first order arrives second.

Somewhat confusing service - but all items arrived in reasonable time, and I wasn't overcharged.

That's good enough service for me, chalk up another happy repeat customer of c r c.

Wondered peoples experience with the discounts from WIggle, Chain Reaction, PBK and co.

Are we more often than not seeing genuine discounts on the ACTUAL retail price or are we seeing the discounts on the Recommended Retail Price, so the sale price is the same as the regular retail price?

Wiggle seems to discount off RRP? I don't hate them for it, it's a good way to pick up their big ticket items, like the Boardman bikes which don't have a rrp discount normally.
I'm disturbed that they are CONSTANTLY doing the deals.

Has anyone shopped at Bicyclesky.com? Is it a serious business?

I have been purchasing from PBK, Wiggle and Evans Cycles for the last 2 years and have had no problems with delays in delivery. My last purchase from Evans Cycles took less than a week to arrive (ordered Wednesday and received in office following Monday), and it came via DHL courier, which i was pleasantly surprised. I'm thinking of buying a set of Fulcrum 3's from Wiggle and they have confirmed that it will be sent via DHL courier and packaged so that it won't get damaged. It's well worth purchasing your bike gear from these UK retailers as you save a load compared to local bike shops!

I ordered a GoPro Hero2 from CatchoftheDay last Wednesday 22nd and received it at my office on Friday 24th in the afternoon. Price was $299. What a BARGAIN!

bought some mud guards from Bike24 for my wifes tourer, ordered guards to suit 38mm tyres and recieved 38mm guards.
(Wouldn't have had this problem if I'd been able to get them from Wiggle but they wont post guards to australia) emailed them at sales, they thanked me for my feedback and thats it! I've no use for the guards and so gave them away.

first and last time i order anything from germany.

Has anybody ever bought from the following website?

http://donny-andika.com/

There is one report of them being a scam, but that does not convince me. I have written them an email about postage to Australia and they responded quickly and with decent information.

Their prices are simply amazing!

Guaranteed to be a scam... 1) Prices are to good to be true, 2) based in Indonesia and 3) never heard of them (and I buy lots of stuff from o/s) Sorry :(

A bike shop in Medan could not afford the stock he advertises. Thief.

Still nothing shown up from the ProBikeKit order.....
No response to 3 emails, and an "email" sent via their online form.

Anyone else had problems with ProBikeKit?

Yeah I got the same problem with PBK placed order on the 9/8/2012 I still haven't received it. I emailed them a couple of times with no reply I managed to get a hold of them on twitter and found out my order was sent on the 21/8/2012 but I am still waiting for it.

It seem they have plenty of time to be on twitter but no time to reply to their customers.

Signup to twitter and ask there.

As twitter is public, a lot of companies tend to be quick when customers use twitter when they are dissatisfied. It is unfortunate that other channels doesn"t work very well but you have to play the game.
