Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiences
WOW. Wish my order from Wiggle had been that quick. Ordered several things on the 17th of July , order was processed on the same day. Still waiting .................... Got an email from them on the 1st of August asking me if I was happy with my order that I recently received , and would I like to review some of the items Just sent them an email. 27 days for postage from the UK I deliver parcels as part of my job , and today I delivered several that had been posted on the 2nd of August. Awaiting their reply this evening..........................
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiences
My PBK order from the UK just arrived. Took about the same amount of time.
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesI notice that Wiggle blame customs a lot on the delays of parcels. Not sure how true this is, but if so, customs need a kick up the back side.

Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesWiggle refunded money back to my Paypal account last night , admitting the parcel must be lost.
Will try reordering again , as what I ordered , is a brand only they sell , and it was quite cheap. Will give it another chance , realising that it isn't their fault that the first one went missing.
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiences
In fairness to customs they have instructed to pay a far great amount of attention to the importation goods into the country over the last 5 year's with little or no increases to resourses. In addition they have also bee instructed to confirm packages values when the declareec amounts come close to the $1000 threshold. Also AQIS will stop any package which may have a food product for inspection. Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710a using Tapatalk 2 James

Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiences6/8/12
placed an order of equivalent values at Wiggle and ProBikeKit wiggle - arrived today 15/8/2012 Probikekit - still hasn't shipped and I am getting cranky they won't respond to my emails i think i'll stick to Wiggle last time probikekit took 6 weeks from order to arrival
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesHi chain reaction
I have now received the replacement brakes - thanks for those. However, they were sent incomplete - in particular, without the 6 x disc rotor mounting bolts. I think there were a few other spare bolts and an instruction manual - all of which I returned as required by CRC - but I really only need the rotor bolts to make it work. Could you please send those? It's now been over a month since I sent the faulty brakes, and 2 months since I first ordered them. I've had no rear disc brakes during that time, which has been a major inconvenience, to put it mildly. Regards jules21
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesBought a 3t seatpost from chainreaction. Quick postage of about 4 days. Even better was the fact that shipping was free and signed-for.
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesOrdered 4 items from CRC recently. Website said they were "dispatched", fyi I paid the $25 for express shipping.
A few days later I received an email stating that one of the items was no longer available and that crc had refunded the appropriate amount, same email offered me a $8 Aud discount off my next purchase and also provided details on how to get express shipping for free on the item, or similar, that was no longer available. Very kind offer i thought, and chose a different item, but the express shipping discount didn't work - so another email I fire off explaining the situation and Susan at Crc said no problems, and refunded me the correct amount. A week later the second order arrives first, a day after that the first order arrives second. Somewhat confusing service - but all items arrived in reasonable time, and I wasn't overcharged. That's good enough service for me, chalk up another happy repeat customer of crc. Keep flexing, spinning, rolling, coasting, pushing, pulling, drafting, sprinting, time trialling, touring, climbing, descending, hot dogging, crit-ing, racing, weaving, dodging, dropping, tanking, chasing... but most of all - just keep f'ing riding!
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesWondered peoples experience with the discounts from WIggle, Chain Reaction, PBK and co.
Are we more often than not seeing genuine discounts on the ACTUAL retail price or are we seeing the discounts on the Recommended Retail Price, so the sale price is the same as the regular retail price? 2013 BNA Ultimate Survey - Now Closed - 775 participants - results out soon
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiences
Wiggle seems to discount off RRP? I don't hate them for it, it's a good way to pick up their big ticket items, like the Boardman bikes which don't have a rrp discount normally. I'm disturbed that they are CONSTANTLY doing the deals.
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesHas anyone shopped at Bicyclesky.com? Is it a serious business?
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesI have been purchasing from PBK, Wiggle and Evans Cycles for the last 2 years and have had no problems with delays in delivery. My last purchase from Evans Cycles took less than a week to arrive (ordered Wednesday and received in office following Monday), and it came via DHL courier, which i was pleasantly surprised. I'm thinking of buying a set of Fulcrum 3's from Wiggle and they have confirmed that it will be sent via DHL courier and packaged so that it won't get damaged. It's well worth purchasing your bike gear from these UK retailers as you save a load compared to local bike shops!
I ordered a GoPro Hero2 from CatchoftheDay last Wednesday 22nd and received it at my office on Friday 24th in the afternoon. Price was $299. What a BARGAIN!
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiences
Probikekit purchased 6/8/12 - arrived today 30/8/12 - about the same time as ebay products coming from china
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesEvans Cycles
Ordered Gore jacket 27/8/12 Dispatched 28/8/12 Arrived in Perth 31/8/12 Nice jacket! Have they got a store in Perth or what?
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesbought some mud guards from Bike24 for my wifes tourer, ordered guards to suit 38mm tyres and recieved 38mm guards.
(Wouldn't have had this problem if I'd been able to get them from Wiggle but they wont post guards to australia) emailed them at sales, they thanked me for my feedback and thats it! I've no use for the guards and so gave them away. first and last time i order anything from germany.
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesPBK: ordered nearly 7 weeks ago, shipped 6 weeks ago.
No response to emails. Did get an automated email asking for me to review their goods and service.....
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesHas anybody ever bought from the following website?
http://donny-andika.com/ There is one report of them being a scam, but that does not convince me. I have written them an email about postage to Australia and they responded quickly and with decent information. Their prices are simply amazing!
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiences
Guaranteed to be a scam... 1) Prices are to good to be true, 2) based in Indonesia and 3) never heard of them (and I buy lots of stuff from o/s) Sorry
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesA bike shop in Medan could not afford the stock he advertises. Thief.
It’s more like our thoughts are thinking us than we are thinking them.
Re: Online Purchases - good and bad experiencesaebike were easy and helpful to deal with and stock small parts that other online stores don't seem to.
