It was all peaceful and friendly in the neighbourhood until yesterday when a number of people turned up, some were quickly banned for breaching forum rules while others were reported as being trolls.

For breaches of forum rules then please report and a moderater will deal with it.

Trolling is a difficult subject as this forum welcomes people with diverse opinions and as long as they are discussed in a fair and respectful manner, that is fair enough. When it starts to get personal, insulting and aggressive that is where it becomes a problem.

For consistent moderation it is not fair to take action on any person who is thought to be a troll, and even if their actions are "trolling" unless they break the forum rules and flame or become insulting or offensive, it is not fair to take action. Sure you can PM a mod or event report a post that yopu feel warrants attention. The main thing is, don't get sucked in and get into trouble yourself - the best course of action is to ignore them. Lets also respect that there are different personalities and some people take a different approach.

Maybe. But I find curiousity still gets the better of me and I'll still look. The only benefit is I'm mentally prepared for the possible abuse.
