I'm riding in on Saturday.

I'll talk to you about it then, I may have to pick it up at a later stage, I'm not in a hurry. Got 2 MTB's here that I've got to build, but only 1 needing a fork, so it ain't urgent.

Not entirely correct vaeske, but pretty close.

My stuff is not clamp on so this may sink any ideas BUT,

The plastic Suntour Blaze shifters on my Vertex build are heavier than I'd like, I have set of Al Suntour Edge shifters (thanks wazza) but they are missing the R/H (rear derailleur) tension knob & they are part of a full groupo (so I'm not keen to split it up) BUT (there's always a but isn't there), I purchased a set of Al Suntour shifters from a guy in Bathurst (NSW) today, I'm looking at fitting those to the Vertex, so the Blaze shifters will be surplus. Now you could probably have them but you would have to find a tension knob (the Blaze ones match the Edge ones) & I'm not pulling the shifters off for about a fortnight.

If you are interested & someone can help you out with a R/H plastic tension knob, then give me a yell, I'm sure we can work out getting them to you for a small amount.

Looking for:
Suntour Superbe Pro rear derailleur - Accushift era
58cm road frame, cro-mo or better
Chromed alloy or polished alluminium road fork, 200mm steerer
Malvern Star Team 86 Funny Bike (yellow/green)

Cheers.
Funnybike, still looking for a 58 cm frame. I've got a couple that i'm looking to part ways with. One is an unknown chromo frame, 26.8 seattube, with unicrown fork, great condition blue paint. The other is a Vicini, italian frame. Not as beautifully made as other Italian frames that i've seen. White frame with yellow highlights in the corners. Paint not as good as other, with a seatpost of 26.6? Utedeej

thanks DJ,

likewise for the levers and brakes. my plan for the parts will be a steel track frame for day to day commuting. still looking for that ever so elusive one. I'm looking to offload the langster and the masi coltello as well but may keep one for the track for later.

Hi Vaeske, what size frame are you looking for? I've got a Carl Wilson track frame, that i'll be looking to dispose of some time in the future. V nice frame & light, 27.2 seatube, 56 seat tube and 55 top tube i think. Original paint was knackered, so powdercoated in orange. Got a set of road forks done at the same time, so it's got an extra set of forks to use with a front brake for riding around town :D She has some nice drill work on the bottom bracket and where the stays join on to the seattube, and on the track fork.

Happy to send pics, but i'm heading off on hols on Friday (actually up to Gold Coast then Buderim). So, will be out of action for two weeks.

Help please - I started putting my concorde together and have run into some issues with my shifters. As per the 1st photo, I seem to have 2 left side campag record downtube shift levers. Being slightly offset, the right hits the frame when in the parallel position. As per the second photo, I also have 2 diferent campag washers for the shifters :x . I would be eternally greatful if somebody could help me out here. If you have a right shift lever, that you don't need it would be most appreciated, and if you have a washer the same as the one on the left you don't need, that would also be fantastic. Happy to swap something if you like.

I have also now realise the campag bottom bracket spindle I have is also rough. Not 100% sure what model it is, but it's for an Italian thread, is about 115mm long and is stamped 70 - SS. Maybe somebody can help for a trade of another item? EDIT: It appears to be a nuovo record BB.

hey pal, i should have a right shifter on my keyring if you're interested. can't do much about those plastic washers though. i would've thought if you actually have 2 of each washer then then its basically correct.

That would be appreciated. The washers above are actually the steel cover plates which sit outside the nylon washer and the tension screw with D ring pushes on these. The one with the round hole appears to be the correct one. The one on the right with rectangular slot works ok, but is just diferent.

My old 50s Sydney-made Alcone road bicycle can't be ridden
After a long 85km jaunt a couple of weekends ago, one of it's old Mafac 'Racer' brake Eye-bolt assembly (holds the brake shoe to arm) sheared off. Been hunting around for a replacement but with not much luck. Either postage costs from US is ridiculous (Harris Cyclery) or seller on holiday (Bikeville.com).
The bike part is 456E.
