Cell knicks sizing

Postby simonn » Sun May 18, 2008 5:00 pm

Due to now having a 50km round trip commute I am a little saddle sore. To avoid... shall we say... exacerbating the somewhat delicate situation through a less than hygienic approach, I think I need to have more than my current 2 pairs of (Aldi) knicks.

Anyhoo, how accurate are the sizing charts for the Cell knicks? The Aldi ones I have are large and fit me well, but according to the Cell chart I need mediums (I have a 33-34inch waist).

Cheers, Si.

I'm a 32inch waist and the medium nix from Cell fit me ok. Definitely not too tight and still a bit of room if I put on a few kgs. The padding is a little thin IMHO, prefer my Netti nix for longer rides. But they maybe ok for separate 25km rides in the AM and PM.
You may have a tougher butt than I have though, and the price is certainly right.
Hope this helps simonn.

I am about a 33-34 inch waist as well and went for an L. I agree that the padding is a bit thin, but for the price you can't beat them.

I'm a 32 and I wear a Cell small.

I find their lycra too light for winter though.
What is it with cycling? 30+ kmh and lycra???!!!

I'm a 33 and the Cell branded L's fit me fine.
If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?

I am also that size and had the medium size cell nicks, I always thought they were a bit tight and occasionally hurt the waist so I think if you go large is better. Note how the midium on their site is for 165-170cm hight person
If they made the back higher it would be more comffy...

I have several pairs of Cell knicks and I'm a large (34-36) and they fit perfectly. I use them on shortish 30-40km rides and they're fine, but longer than that I need better padding.

Again just my personal experience. But for the price you can't beat them.
