Hello All,
Looking to upgrade my wheelset....
Currently have a centrelock setup but most of the wheelsets I am looking at uses the 6 bolt standard. I know there is an adapter available, anyone have experience with this ?
Should I stick to just looking at wheelsets with centrelock or will the adapter be OK to use? If I get a 6 Bolt wheelset as an upgrade, will it be better for me to change the whole braking system than getting an adapter?
Thanks!

I didn't think there was an adaptor to run CL rotors on a 6 bolt IS hub
It'd be easier to just fork out on some IS rotors, my build in progress will have Deore brakes with IS rotors on SRAM hubs.

...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Agree. Just get what wheels you want, then worry about getting new rotors if necessary later. Rotors are too cheap to worry about bodgy adaptors.

Here is the adapter: http://www.jensonusa.com/Shimano-Center ... lt-Adapter
So I will just buy new rotors along with the wheelset. With my limited knowledge, I had my doubts with using an adaptor and you guys just confirmed it, thanks!

thats a "centerlock to 6 bolt adapter" not a "6 bolt to center lock adapter"
I use a centerlock to 6 bolt adapter on my commuter, all seems fine. Hell of alot easier to put rotors on than with the 6 separate bolts. The adapter costs as much as a rotor ... I also wanted to keep all my rotors the same as the mtb.

Thanks eeksll. So I need the opposite, coz I want to put my CL rotors onto 6bolt wheels. I cant find this adapter so new rotors it is.
