Yes! Actually, no it's okay as long as others can ride the KOM area. I was KOM on a segment I made, as I was the only one who had ridden that path.jasonc wrote:is it bad that both my KOMs are for segments I've created?
You could always prop open the front and back door of your house, ride your bike through, and make that a segment.

I do miss the way Strava sorted them, used to be by number of times ridden not date.

you live near me dimma - stay away from the KOM of mine - you've got enough (please?)Dimma wrote:Not at all, a couple of mine have only been ridden by less than 10 ppl. I use them as weekly effort checks, to gauge fatigue.

Loving the weight class filtering - I'm the fastest fattie on one of my segments .... is that an achievement? If so I think fat cycling could be my thing!

Is it possible to upload directly to strava from a bryton? And is it possible to get files off said bryton without brytonbridge? (work computer won't let me install it).

Let us know what you think of strava premium. I tried a free month trial a little while ago, and didn't seem to think at the time that there was much value.sloth wrote:... I just upgraded to strava premium for the month to see whether its worth it or not.

Edit. Just reread your post and you do need Bryton Bridge.ldrcycles wrote:Just joined, from 2 rides i think i have a 2nd and a 7th, and on one segment i managed to sneak in ahead of 2 local pros and my arch nemesis .

Go to My data, then My Collection.
This should now show you a list of your rides.
Click in the check box for each ride and click on the Strava button.
You will then be prompted for your Strava user name and password.
You activities will now be in Strava.

If they made it cheaper like $10 a year then I am sure they would get 10 times more people signing on... $59 a year is a lot for an upgrade that doesn't really tell you much more.
I also don't like the new security settings... can't check out the top riders in my area any more without following them .
The search segment also needs an option of searching " by number of times ridden " ... I would like to find the most popular sections!.

Thanks for that, sounds easier than what i was doing (saving rides to my computer as gpx then uploading to strava), but i was hoping i could plug in the bryton, open the strava website and take them directly off the gps. My expectation was that it would behave like a flash drive, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I should get used to it though.PA wrote: Edit. Just reread your post and you do need Bryton Bridge.

Loch there's probably a pretty simple script that would do that for you...ldrcycles wrote:Thanks for that, sounds easier than what i was doing (saving rides to my computer as gpx then uploading to strava), but i was hoping i could plug in the bryton, open the strava website and take them directly off the gps. Stick their strava athlete number into veloviewer and check out their rides that way...not saying I have done it Makes it very easy to view their rides then via strava.toolonglegs wrote: I also don't like the new security settings... can't check out the top riders in my area any more without following them .

Well .. after one training ride I've come to the conclusion strava premium isn't worth it.... I'll downgrade at the end of the month.snark wrote:

I'm doing base training at the moment and went out for a tempo ride - so aiming to sit primarily in zone 3 .....get back... load to strava and click on analysis ...... and the HR Zones are way off. Worst still I can't manually set the zones to what they should be for me. I have set my zones based on a threshold test and the default zones strava calculates from HRmax are way off. Useless to me basically. The HR zone analysis was the key reason I tried premium unfortunately. The suffer score seems to be a gimick, more than a useful training metric and the filtered boards aren't enough to justify paying premium.
I have a mac so at the moment for tracking my training I'm trialling rubitrack, Ascent, Garmin Connect and Strava. The way it is shaping up is I will most likely pay the 40AUD for Ascent (It has the key info of telling me how much time I've spent in each HR zone on a ride) and I'll use strava for tracking my frequency of riding and the milage I'm putting on my bike(s). The simplicity of the strava Training Calendar and Activity Summary will keep me using strava freemium but I'll do my more detailed analysis of individual rides in Ascent.
