Hello BNA experts! Hope this is the right place. Had this problem today while riding. This is only a week after a tune at my LBS. When the video starts, I'm in the smaller sprocket having just shifted into the larger sprocket before I start spinning the pedals.
Is this simple to fix? It looks like the derailleur is not moving far enough to the right, resulting in the chain rubbing against the sprocket until it can finally grab onto some teeth. It's just not moving far enough to the right to settle into some teeth easily.
Failing fixing this, should I take it back to my LBS? Is it normal for something like this to occur a week after a tune? I don't really want to fork out another $60 unless it's quite essential.

That sounds and looks horribly like a cable tension issue.

Thanks Mulger. I think I'm going to give my LBS a call tomorrow and see if they can fix it up, it's only been a week since my last tune.
Although I totally understand the youtube videos, I don't feel intuitive enough to get it all perfect myself. I'm kind of a hands-on learner so that's Plan B.

Then they shouldn't be charging you again for a cable issue...Shpox wrote:...it's only been a week since my last tune.

If they charged me for that, I'd never return there.Mulger bill wrote:Then they shouldn't be charging you again for a cable issue...Shpox wrote:...it's only been a week since my last tune.
