Swearing at DucksHi All,
I heard a strange thing on my commute home this evening. I guy was racing towards me on his bike and between us there were some little ducks crossing the path. I heard him say "get out of the f^*king way you stupid ducks" and he didn't look like he was going to stop for anything. Luckily for the ducks they all made it through unscathed but I did find it a little strange to be swearing at ducks. I mean, what did he expect them to do? Cheers, Dan Fila Primo 90's

Re: Swearing at Duckshe was very important, he had somewhere important to go to, damn ducks should have known better.
some people need a reality check, this guy sounds like one who does. maybe a kangaroo will jump across his path muttering stupid cyclist as it takes him out. Life is not about waiting for the rain to pass.....it's about learning to dance (or ride) in the rain.

Re: Swearing at DucksIt is a serious mistake to swear at ducks. In an incident that still makes me shutter today I was charged by a vicious mob of ducklings after I swore at them. As the pictures below show they forced my off my bike!

Re: Swearing at Ducksso you had to park until they moved on again?
That's super of you!
Re: Swearing at DucksI agree, nice set of photos.
Tolerance - it starts with the ducks then extends to our fellow road users. Fila Primo 90's

Re: Swearing at DucksI can see how those ducks rattled you, they are a menacing bunch, even mugging you for your water supplies.

Re: Swearing at DucksThat is so sweet! Cyclists must be really nice at heart.
Re: Swearing at DucksToo many ducklings. You're going to need a bigger pot.
Re: Swearing at DucksThis weally quacks me up.
First koalas ... ![]() now ducks. What's the world coming to? A far nicer place perhaps. Judging by the amount of gear you carry, this was just a typical commute to work was it? Re: Swearing at DucksIf the ducks paid Rego it wouldn't be a problem.

Re: Swearing at Ducks
& some oranges for the sauce I was going to buy a fast, stylish bike, but I looked in the mirror & thought "you're not fooling anyone, you know"
Re: Swearing at Ducks
Duck rage?? - makes you wonder about the state some people are in! my wife used to sing this rhyme to our babies: Sad mother duck Went out one day Over the hill and far away The sad mother duck said "Quack, quack, quack." And all of the five little ducks came back.
Re: Swearing at Ducksbut what about the first 5 verses....
5 little ducks went out one day over the hills and far away mother duck said quack quack quack quack but only 4 little ducks came back. 4 little ducks went out one day..... etc. your verse is the last one!
Re: Swearing at DucksErrr ... after you'd done your good deed, did you check your wallet?

Re: Swearing at Ducks
thanks cp123! i just love happy endings!
Re: Swearing at Ducksmayeb this was the same duck that came snapping at us whilst riding through kings park the other morning!
Re: Swearing at DucksOn ya mate - made my day seeing your pics! I regularly do a few laps around Champion lakes Regatta Centre, where birdlife abounds with plenty of birds and younglings sauntering across the pathways at this time of the year. Happy to say that most people (walkers, joggers and cyclists) appear to have a heart and a brain in this neck of the woods

Re: Swearing at DucksI probably looked a bit 'special' this morning.
Passed a heap of ducks on my ride this morning. Without considering those around I squealed out like a kid yelling "duckies" as I passed them. Got some funny looks. Sent from my not iDevice using Tapatalk 2
Re: Swearing at DucksWow those photos are awesome as. I was thinking "oh no those ducks made you fall off" and then saw the pictures. Thats awesome.
Skull - I would have done the same thing hahaha. I was at the zoo the other week near the bear enclosure and yelled out to my Girl Friend "OMGosh come look at the bear pooping" hahaha The lady standing next to me didn't quite feel the same way and gave me the evil stare hahaha. If someones in that much of a rush to not stop, he'll need to wait longer if the wildlife ranger or rspca ends up seeing him eventually hit one of them. I'm sure he would probably get done for animal cruelty. GOALS FOR THIS YEAR
1. Save up for a JC70 Recumbent Trike 3. Rack up a lot of KM Training 2. Attend 250km Bupa 2013
Re: Swearing at Ducks
Ha, ha. Yes, just another day at the office. Actually, these photos come from this series. I rode down to Narrogin, WA, mucked about a bit, and rode back home. A nice vacation.
Re: Swearing at DucksAnd to balance the books here's a duck swearing back:
