Womens' race was very good. Vos was amazing and Nehling (? spelling) did such an amazing race too. Lots of attacking and a broken up peleton makes for an exciting race.

Yeah, great result from Neylan; brilliant speed to go after Vos on the Cauberg while the others were thinking about it. But how good is Vos? Total domination. Such a shame we don't get to see more of her and the other top women.

The usual trend for the worlds is scintillating form through the year leading to World Championship & followed by an ordinary season.
Nice to see Gilbert with a scintillating win after an ordinary season (by his standards). Hopefully he can follow it up with another stellar year in 2013.

It doesn't get easier, you just get slower

Yep, good win by Gilbert. He was the one with the power and energy to go off up the last hill and it was great to watch.

Pity there was no telecast of the Junior Mens race as young Aussie Caleb Ewan came second, winning a bunch sprint, behind the winner.

Was Cavendish wearing a codpiece? That GB strip must be one of the ugliest ever.

Yes it did look rather clownish. However the strip they wore about a dozen years back was worse. Cycling Weekly at the time reckoned it was puke worthy. Saw the British rider Yvonne McGregor wearing it on Beach road and I would agree. That GB strip must be one of the ugliest ever.
