theres a HED on ebay atm for around $250.

but you need atrack axle adapter and it doesnt have a lock ring thread which made me nervous !

if i was in the market for a disc i would buy the new shimano/PRO brand disc with the large hex flange dura ace hub, there is absolutely no way you will detach the hub from the disc. very strong design.

Disc wheels are difficult to produce, only a few companies do it really well.

The Pro-Lite disc on the back of the Netherlands track tandem is an off the shelf wheel, I certainly have never seen or heard of one failing.

BTW, big +1 to dealing with Pro-Lite. I'm getting that disc for Xmas myself.
