Hi
For the past 3 months I've been getting very sore thumbs and a right elbow after rides. So painful that I struggle to pick up my children and do general day-to-day tasks.
I've had my current bike for about a year.
Seeing a physio this week but wondering if these symptoms are common of a incorrect sized handlebars etc. this is the first bike where I've used SRAM. Not sure if others have experienced this.
Thanks
Thumb and wrist pain

It can also be a symptom of you putting too much weight on the handle bars (which could be caused by the bike not being fitted properly) - where is the pain in your elbow?

If anyone has similar symptoms and is interested:
The thumb and wrist pain is due to De Quervain syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Quervain_syndrome" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

I had De Quervain's in both wrists after my son was born 19 years ago and I still remember the pain, especially when trying to hold said son for feeding purposes! In the end, physiotherapy resolved the issue, although I feel I am still somewhat prone to weak/sensitive wrists.
Good luck with your recovery.

If it was just the wrist, then perhaps fit is the issue,
if it is wrist and thumb, it might be fit + technique,
(such as relaxed arms and more riding with loose slightly bent elbows)
