sounds like a good bargain. esp considering the specialised allez is around $2400ish.

is this a local purchase or overseas?

I saw an ad for it in the latest RIDE? For $2800 for the 08 model.

I would pay the extra instead of getting it overseas, just for peace of mind.

I'm a bit confused, you posted a similar question a month ago, albeit with a higher price ($2399).

08 SPECIALIZED ROUBAIX ELITE - $2399 GOOD DEAL? URGENT!!!

You got some good feedback then indicating it was a good deal, so with the extra price off, why the question again ?

If you like the bike (and obviously you do) and you are happy with the price (I would hazard a guess that you have done a bit more shopping around since the last enquiry), so what is it you want to hear different this time ?

From last time, here is my previous comment

I WANT IT< BUT I DON"T WANT TO RUSH INTO IT<
BUT IT"S DEFINITELY THE LAST ONE IN STORE AND IT IS MY SIZE!
HELP!
Um, don't want to rush, but need answer urgent ......

Obviously you like it, have access to sufficient funds, theoritically it is the right size...

Have you test ridden it ?

How much of a saving is it ? Quick web search shows it is about $600 off RRP.

Personally wouldn't get it (they can't even spell "Specialised") - the gearing is setup for hill climbing, it has been specc'd down with no-name brakes, cheap wheels, and cheap cranks.

Mindyou, the colour scheme is not bad
If you like it, it fits you well, is within your budget, BUY IT !!! And have fun, and bugger what anyone else thinks.

Hey Michael B,

thanks for your answer.

I suppose the leading fact i changed the questions is that this is a previous years model,
and that i know very little about bikes all in all.

Actually make that $180 in my account.

I bet $30 on Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the first
goal for Manchester United in the UEFA Cup Final.

Yeehaa,

Maybe i should get a cycling computer!
