Hi All,
I have just arrived in Adelaide and there is a good chance I will be living in Flinders Park.
I am working in 129 Greenhill Road (Unley) and i was wondering if there are safe cycling routes to work and back?
I am not familiar with roads here at all, so your help would be appreciated
Regards,
Robbie

you can take bike paths most of the way. it is not going to be fast but at least you won't die
follow the river torrens linear park path to the brewery (cnr port road and adam st), take the bike path to the corner of west & north terrace, follow the bike path along west terrace (parklands side) then when you get to south terrace you can take the bike paths through the south parklands to your office
check google maps and it will make a bit more sense

if i get killed while out on my bike i dont want a 'memorial ride' by random punters i have never met.

You should be able to head south down Airport Road, then up Sir Donald Bradman Dr, South down Marion Rd, left onto Richmond Rd through to Greenhill Rd. There should be a bicycle lane pretty much the whole way.

We ended up taking a property in Pasadena, which is about 9km from my work in Unley Road.

no only one, I had just read the thread here
and didn't read the latest here.
My only suggestion would be to be careful on Goodwood Rd, it has to carry a lot of peak hour traffic.
As you ride along East Parkway, be nice to the locals. I am one.

I would suggest heading via Winston Avenue, turning onto the commuter route/bike path that runs next to the train line/tram line and spits you out near the corner of King William Rd/Greenhill Road.
It's the way I get to work...
