What frame is the FM098 based on?
Looks a lot like cross between a Fuji SST and a Specialized Venge!
Looks nice!

I want that bikeMarkG wrote:Yeah there's a very nice one with black and red highlights on one of the forums - looks very nice.
EDIT: do you have to have Di2 with that frame?
i.e. could I throw on Ultegra?
Does it run a standard shimano BB and crank?
quick calcs tell me that I wouldn't get change out of $2k (using existing wheels)....

No, There are Di2 and non-Di2 versions of the frame, although the Di2 frames are still compatible with non-Di2 for some reason. You can also get different BB versions, so standard Shimano is fine.jasonc wrote:I want that bikeMarkG wrote:Yeah there's a very nice one with black and red highlights on one of the forums - looks very nice.

- no rear D inner cable routing sleave with no cable stops
- a hole for the internal wiring
That's it AFAIK
It is a bit tricky routing the rear d cable, but not too bad.
Btw by my calcs with ultegra, this frame, carbon wheels and everything else on the bike you could do it for under 2.5k

so why that vs a azurri with di2 for the same $clydesmcdale wrote:Have just completed my fm098 running campy super record on a Di2 compatible frame. Only difference is that the Di2 frame here is;

one of the reasons I didn't go that route. Went SR and for a little over 3k. Couldn't find that set-up in that price range.jasonc wrote:so why that vs a azurri with di2 for the same $clydesmcdale wrote:Have just completed my fm098 running campy super record on a Di2 compatible frame. cbf'd counting the spokes....but there's heaps. be interested to hear how the wheel feels. My 50mm CC is very stiff compared to alloys.Crawf wrote:Haven't ridden it yet ... to busy trying to finish timber decking!

This may have been answered, would you be able to tell me the weight of the frame + fork? I'm interested in buying this frame

1162g for the frame, 436g for the fork, so quite heavy compared to the others (FM028/FM066)

Yep allot... very overkill, but I had the hubs waiting and wanting rims, If you have Alchemy hubs you gotta use them! - 28/32h.PawPaw wrote:cbf'd counting the spokes....but there's heaps. be interested to hear how the wheel feels. How has it been, any issues? I'm considering buying a frame as a project training bike.

Nope no issues, well none that I haven't caused, i.e. stripping boltsasmc wrote:any recent pics of the bike

If you're after a stiffer more crit style bike then chose this, or something slightly more relaxed say for climbing then go the FM028.
I notice the stiffness in the bracket when sprinting compared to the FM028, it just propels that little bit more.
