Re: Cycle Instead Num(b)er PlatesIs a "Cycle Instead" registration plate on a car just $165 worth of ironic humour?
Re: Cycle Instead Numer PlatesGreat idea, I might see if i can order one as soon as I get my lunch sorted out. A Vege burger with double bacon...
Re: Cycle Instead Numer PlatesDoes it guarantee immunity from road rego arguments?
Apologies for being cynical Graeme, I do appreciate you posting the link. I can't justify the $ at the moment (plus I don't own a car Still, I can't help but be drawn to the picture at the top of the 'Active Transport' page. Is it just me or are the pedestrians and cyclists pictured about to be run over by a bus
Re: Cycle Instead Numer PlatesIt won't be long some sanctimonious hypocritical cyclist (yes, I am sure there is one somewhere?) will fit a set to his Hummer.
Unicyclist's don't need a training wheel
Re: Cycle Instead Numer PlatesI don't understand the antipathy towards this.
The plates read "I'd rather... cycle instead" I cannot see anything hypocritical in that. Too old to live, too slow to die.
Re: Cycle Instead Numer Plates
I never said there was. Only that there will be some hypocrite out there parading himself in one manner but acting in another. I will not be surprised if they get a lot of buyers. The irony is delicious. It'd also be a hoot, after stencilling in the prefix "Bi-", to fit them to my unicycle. Unicyclist's don't need a training wheel
Re: Cycle Instead Numer Plates
They have been around for over three years and when I last looked (they have removed the list of numbers available) very few had been taken up. I notice that the price too has gone up from $135.00. Andrew
Re: Cycle Instead Numer Plates
Interesting - never knew of them so, as you said, not much demand at all. And what do you do when you can't sell something? Put the price up of course. Unicyclist's don't need a training wheel
