nice looking jersey, unfortuntately a bit too big for me. I'm looking at large/mediums.

Yeah munga, I'm soft, na the jersey is a half size too small, if I was keeping it I wouldn't care but I'm not going to risk stretching it or pulling some threads, besides, would you buy it after I'd sweated all through it on a riverloop?
You have a sale! I will bring some extra folding tomorrow. You could throw in the honey as a 'sweetener' to the deal!

Here's the one I ended up buying, but I may see if the handle screws off & I may manufacture something that will last 25 years not 17 years like the Speci@lized one that just broke.

Hey Waz, I normally have the honey in the back of my jersey but you may not like the taste, I dissolve sea salt in water & mix it into the honey, works a treat, low GI energy food with natural salts, cleaner than the honey shotz (what do you do with the sticky satchel after you've eaten the shotz?), same company & you just screw the lid back down, suck the excess honey then back into the jersey.

I had a Lezyne mini pump (until it came out of the frame mount and got chewed up in the back wheel on this year's coot-tha challenge :( ), excellent quality and not expensive, even from a LBS. Have a Topeak something or other now. And instead of mounting it on the frame i just stick it under my knicks.

How did you guys go on mt cootha?
I did it around 6:45 and the cross winds were interesting for me on the way down... Strava still says that I am the worlds slowest mountain climber... ;-)

hey brett, for the btgc warmup, we opted to do 2 riverloops instead. it was a last minute decision and the guys all agreed. must catchup with you on the ride up cootha next time! :)

we first had a guest with some mechanical issues, then wals non-driveside crank fell off! got the crank tool fixed that and we did a reverse riverloop. great to see everyone again! fun morning.

It definitely wasn't my day, nut come loose off the non-drive side crank, then the rear went flat at the tennis centre, a thorn  in the tyre.

Picked up a new nut from HGR on my way home, pulled up at home to fill the bidons & do a bit more, as I wheeled the bike off the road "pfffffffffft' front tyre went flat :x , the valve stem had ripped away from the tube.

Got the bike into the bike cave, replaced the tube, pumped everything up, rechecked both nuts on the crank then off down Bunya Road to Samford, the beer was cold & nice (really needed it after the day I'd had), then rode home.

Must have bumped the button on the video cam along Riverside bike path on the way back as it was turned off, I've just loaded the videos onto the computer & now starting to upload the vids to you tube, will put up links (probably tomorrow morning with the time you tube manages to work quicker) once it's all up.

Thanks to vaeske for busting his b@lls to ride back to his car & get his crank tool, thanks to all the others for all the 'encouragement' when I had the mechanicals, I'm going for a ride to Nudgee beach tomorrow morning (leaving home around 8 or 9 am, yep I want a sleep in), if anyone is interested.

Yeah.

I have a bone to pick with you lot :x

The segment from Toowong back to GBB, I was 1m53s off the KOM, you lot made me stop for 1m45s, then none of you gave me a lead out, I could've busted that segment & got the KOM.

Told you lot-

"don't coast it's a strava segment!"

Then I would have had that w@nker on strava message me again complaining that I'd knocked off one of his KOM's, then he could have complained to strava & gotten my time taken off.

There is a search on another thread about a frame and bike. Shane/Sean's bike was just about the same and I was wondering if anybody found out where he had it made?

Pictures of the frame I picked up Saturday are up on the Hard Rubbish/Flea market thread.

What thoughts for next Raturday?

I'll see if anyone has a 55sq frame of similar quality that they want to trade! Then we'll see what's available? I have the 600 grouppo that I got off Vaeske that I need a frame for

The suggestion was meet somewhere near the Kedron Brook bikeway & ride out to Nudgee Beach then back, I did it this morning, it's only 60km round trip from my joint so probably 40km from Lutwyche, I ended up going out to Samford again on the way home (legs still felt ok), if we go from Brookside shopping centre (plenty of parking area) that will be about 50km of easy peasy riding, coffee at Blackwood Street after.

Thoughts?????

I'll probably do another ride tomorrow, evidently everybody gets Sunday II tomorrow (normally I seem the only one who gets Sunday II) so I'll probably be heading out the door again around 6-6.30am, not sure which way I'll head, I may do Nudgee Beach or maybe Redcliffe via KB bikeway then through the back path through Boondall, will remember to take cash for cafe` (yeah don't say it, I do it all the time, go out without the mobile or extra cash), at least I didn't get any flats or mechanicals today :D :D :D .

Oh & is it someone off the forum who blows their horn & waves to me regularly, I usually see the same car along Stafford road, I think it was the same car up Samford Road (I had my head down climbing as badly as I do), I just waved, I was wearing the Panasonic Jersey that I got from vaeske yesterday. Thanks for the encouragement you give me on regular occasions (it a blue or maroon earlyish Hyundai, I think, as I seem to have my head down climbing every time I see it), it does help. I owe you a coffee or something, let me know who you are & I'll shout you one.
