Its called Gumtree, but its a bit obscure, so you probably haven't heard of it...
I use Gumtree as well. I didn't know eBay bought it.

I don't know about that. I recently sold some retro campy stuff, certainly didn't sell for as much as I'd have liked. I had quite reasonable expectations

Seems like the good proven stuff and new in stuff is really holding its value while the cheaper stuff is starting to slide back.

My first thought was it was a typo and he actually meant $300, but then he says 'willing to swap for a car'. I just don't have words for that.

Guess he'll get lots of replies, none of them actually wanting to buy the bike.

Other half says "if you want a car you'll have to sell that bike" ... Price high, can't sell, keep bike and get car anyway...WIN

Fleabay experiences sometimes mystify. I recently sold a Repco Max-tracks girls' MTB from the late 90s. Hardly ridden (by my now 26 year old daughter). HiTen frame. Shimano FD, RD, shifters. I mainly wanted someone who wanted it, so at least it didn't turn into landfill. Lady paid $20 for it (PayPal). Fine, except she hasn't got to pick it up, and seems to have ceased replying to messages. :?

It's a weird 'place' sometimes. Pic is for illustrating the mini-rant, only.

Too big for me. :whew: Bargo is famous for one Mrs. Nellie Hoy, who was supposedly quoted in a radio ad in the early 60s, extolling the virtues of Dr Mckenzie's Menthoids, for rheumatic pain.

What is the situation with re-chroming these days. It's kind of environmentally unsound, right? Does stuff get nickel plated? What other options? :|

Is it just me or is that fork a little tucked in?
And how did the 653 sticker get on that angle???

Might just be me but the front forks look bent.
