see - you're going the pace I was aiming for (3:20) - need to find my occy strap

it will be warm.. they are predicting 32°C top. Better keep the fluids up. Hoping to do a 2:50 time this year. the tail wind should help.

Does anyone have a garmin file or a strava ride for a good direct ride back from the coast? My mates are threatening to ride back... but I'm still reluctant. The forecast has been increased to 35 for Sunday.

get the train back with me (I've booked the bus back to helensvale, but that'd be an on-the-day decision) EDIT - had to check I had money on the gocard - it's been that long EDIT2: another reason NOT to ride back - headwinds!

Updated forecast for tomorrow Clear. High of 30C. Breezy. Winds from the NW at 20 to 25 km/h shifting to the WSW in the afternoon. So if you hang around on the coast a bit and head back in the Arvo with the cool change, might make the trip home to Brissy better. Of course, that will depend on how long you want to hang around for. I do like the look of that tail wind for the journey down the coast

That's awesome! I'm from Forest Lake also, might try that one next year when I have some more time in the saddle. 100km will be more than double my longest ride as it is!

If you can do 50km you will be surprised how easy you would find the B2GC. It's very flat with alot of people riding to help motivate you.

Due to my dumb @pple device being somehow set to Sydney time I'm up a whole hour before I needed to be. Fortunately we noticed that another clock was showing Qld time and realised what had happened. Now I'm killing time as its not really worth going back to bed. Good luck everyone, enjoy your ride and stay safe

Lolroflz, as the kids say.
I ride 25s on the basis that they divide more easily into 100 than 23s.

On the train heading back from the coast. Spied one accident just past the Glenn Hotel. The guy had a little blood on his face but he was upright and in good hands with the Ambos. The Retro Riders made it safe and sound however Wal had to unpick a chain tangle. Bloody Strava segments. Hope all enjoyed the day and had a safe journey especially the newbies. Waz
