MS Ocean Charity Ride

Postby HLC » Sat Oct 06, 2012 5:42 pm

Anyone doing this tomorrow? They've raised $200k for MS I think!!

Anyway I'm riding the 50km on my Candy Apple Red Bridgestone Track bike. Give me a yell if you see me.

Yep. I'll be doing the fiddy as well. Hope those predicted showers stay away.

Bit surprised the roads aren't being closed for it.

Not I. Heading off on a Audax ride instead. Cannot get excited about the MS Ocean ride as that is my daily commute route.

Turned out to be a good ride. Got soaked but most people gritted the teeth and put up with it. Couple of offs I heard. Hope everyone picked themselves up ok. Cranked out the 54k in just under 2 hrs which wasn't bad considering the traffic and the multitudes of other cyclists we had to get around safely.

Yeah was pretty fun. I got there in 1hr 35 but backed off at the end as everyone was getting a bit loopy in the rain pulling some dick moves. My mate who I was riding with got a flat tubbie in the last 4km lol!
