tried the supplied ones .... scared by the reduction in braking distance
tried Reynolds blue .... feels the same as stock pads on aluminium in regards to performance

I was riding next to a guy today (in the B2GC) who has one of these frames. They look great. After chatting to him about itI am now very tempted to get one. On the todo list I think. Where's the best place to look at buying one of these frames (FM098???).

Looking at the bike gallery on Velobuild there seems to be at least three different types of FM098 frames going around, the shape of the one in the pictures above looks more like the Mclaren Venge on which it is modelled on than some of the other ones especially the area where the top tube meets the head tube. Are they all from the same manufacturer / seller?

Could have something to do with different frame sizes? Pretty sure it's one manufacturer and several sellers.

I think maybe newer model is the uglier venge style.

They all look the same to me...with the exception of frame sizes. Got any examples of the differing geometries?

You can tell that the second one is a much bigger frame, based on the size of the wheels. Looks like they stretched the whole frame upwards. Aesthetics aren't helped by the stack of spacers and super-up angle stem.

Ok so I've been looking to get a nice set of wheels to replace the Shimano RS-10's that came with my bike. Which led my to these:

Accessories: 2 pairs brake pads and 1 pair skewers

Going to be my race day wheels, I've only just started racing and I think these are going to be my reward for getting to C grade. Just want to know your thoughts if these are going to make a suitable wheel set for racing? Should I go deeper, there does tend to be a bit of wind around the course most days? The course is flat, no hills there is a small incline but it is nothing, oh and I weigh ~70kg.

I considered tubulars there but these wheels are already pushing my budget, I believe clinchers are less effort to maintain and worry about and I don't mind the ~100g extra.
