Well done on the golden bar marinmomma.

Yeah, those two have come up favourably in a few reviews, along with the Race King, Racing Ralph and Small Block 8. The more I read the further it seams I get from a decision. I've made my decision on the ride though and entered the Full Fling.

Thanks everyone...you have all been a great source of encouragement this year and last year, I'm glad that the 6 k club is here.

Now to celebrate this achievement, I've gone and signed up for a beginners crit race series  my first race is Saturday morning....hope I survive because on Sunday morning I'm doing the bike leg in the Tri at Bribie as preparation for Noosa next month!!

Also the Fondriest frame has arrived and the surgery will be taking place next week.....only 2 weeks to get used to riding the new bike before Noosa!

What a week!

We are both a bit deep into the brown, do you think you can catch it?

With the wife's new job it is looking very unlikely for me but you never know :|

Getting clobbered by a storm just now. I got as far as the garage before retreating. I'm giving myself points for effort.

Was just about to say:

Looking out the window it's snowing mixed with rain and it's 12 degrees inside! if Dave rides to work today today he's a legend.

Yeah, fantastic commuting weather in the Illawarra this morning. Got a good reminder that my rain gear is extremely ineffiecient. Took about 4kms for the rain to soak through the arms of my rain jacket, after that I think it would have been better not to have it. Took a little longer for the water running down my legs to soak through the socks to my feet. The shoe covers work really well apart from my ankles being too skinny for them to seal properly.

On the plus side the rain did a great job of waking me up and I felt very refreshed when arriving at work. A nice change from the jetlagged feeling of the start of daylight savings from the past couple of days.

I am disappointed Dave - I thought they were tough down in the southern highlands. It's a good thing I don't live there or I would ride over to your place and call you names

Need to learn how to spell the name of the bike first

Über crazy busy week at work next week will mean not much riding and a delay in getting to the LBS for the final fit of the new bike

Knowing how to spell it is handy when you're asked for the fifth time "you bought a what?" :D

I'm on leave for the next 4 weeks so am going to make a concerted effort to reel in my deficit between painting the house and drinking beer. I'm off to a good start and enjoyed a 50km ride this morning in glorious sunshine. By tomorrow I will have caught up with August :)

Just when I think that I should do more running than riding I go out and enjoy a great ride like the one today! The first 60kms was with my Saturday riding friends (a new person joined today!) and the next 40kms I rode part of the way back to Camden with some Ride to Conquer Cancer riders who were happy to chat. 103 kms altogether :-) Hope everyone else enjoys a ride somewhere today!

Julie,

....... and great weather for a change.

Love the shadow shot but can't you get colour in the shadow?

One of my Strava segments (Suttor Sprint- Dave knows it) was interrupted by the train lights flashing. 2 good things- Campo brakes and seeing the steam trains. Will post photo if there are train desperados out there.

Some what worryingly, I am about to go into the brown again. Seems odd after just pumping out 800kms in 6 days. :)

Thanks Graham :-) Post a train pic - I love a steam train. Used to see them pass through Campbelltown but haven't for ages.

Here's the photo. As I said, Dave knows where this is. The guy in the fluro vest threw his SLR camera down after the train went past. Some people take things seriously.
Earlier I made my way through a whole lot of goslings- just down Dave's road. Geese look cute when they are young.

Train with a double header is on its way to Robertson.

Yeah, I heard the steam trains from my place as they chugged off to the Robertson fair. Surprised we didn't cross paths at some point today!
