Help. Shoes for pedalsHi, I am brand new and have bought a cheap bike of eBay to complete a triathlon. It came with these pedals, I have no idea what shoes to get for them. Any help would be appreciated!
Re: Help. Shoes for pedalsHi,
I'm no expert but i think any cycling shoe will do, however depending on the pedal type there are different cleats that attach to the bottom of the shoe that clip into the pedals. I'd suggest taking the bike down to your LBS (local bike store) and finding out what type of pedals you've got and hopefully they can sell you some reasonably priced shoes and cleats to match your shoes. You could also try putting a photo of the pedals on the forum and maybe someone can identify them. Good luck, Peter 2012 Jim Bundy

Re: Help. Shoes for pedalsThanks for the reply. I thought I did link to the image. I suppose that's what you get when you try to do it from a smartphone. I will be near my LBS tomorrow so will see what they say.
Re: Help. Shoes for pedalsThey look like clip and strap track pedals minus the clip and strap.
I doubt you'd find old school cleated shoes to suit at most LBS. Anything with a stiff, grippy sole will suffice in their current state. ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.
