For Roadies

Hey guys, Currently I'm looking for a club in SA dedicated to road racing- but all I can find is clubs for Track cycling. I have found a few clubs dedicated to road cycling- but they are way out the other side of Adelaide- and I was looking for something a bit closer If you have any info I'd love to hear from you Cheers

norwood, port adelaide, central districs, south coast are all pretty active in road racing. It doesn't really make a huge difference what club you join if you just want to race.

Thanks guys, I had actually found some of them, but most are track related - not so much road racing

Thanks Daccordi Rider, and I know the clubs you posted have no track- but they are a group of veterans- whereas I'm only 15

It may help if you let us know which part of Adelaide you are from.

Port Willunga (Aldinga) - bit I'm happy to go out a bit further if it means finding a dedicated road cycling club.

Have a chat with Noel at Bike Station, Brighton Rd, Hove. I reckon he could point you in the right direction, he does a fair bit of work with junior cyclists. i know Port Adelaide have junior riders, I suspect most clubs do. Or wait 20 years and join the vets clubs, we're a friendly bunch

Any particular reason you want a "dedicated" road cycling club? It really doesn't matter, as all clubs do all races. I'm a bit confused as to why you think that all the clubs listed only do track - track is tiny in comparison to road in Adelaide. Norwood organises the crit series, most of the clubs will organise a few road races during winter.

these days joining a club is just something you have to do to get a CA license
it doesnt matter which club you join at all, go with the cheapest
if i get killed while out on my bike i dont want a 'memorial ride' by random punters i have never met.
