Does anyone own a RANS CF?

Postby jaffaman » Wed Oct 10, 2012 1:01 am

Hi - been looking at buying a RANS CF, but would like to know if anyone here owns one, and if so, how did you get it - did you import it or buy from Australia somewhere, and who from? I've got a bunch of questions but not much point asking if no-one is around. Hope this is the right spot, but I though recumbents would be the closest?

Thanks.

Sorry, don't have any experience with them, but you can buy from Flying Furniture in Canberra.

Or there's this http://www.bikehacks.com/bikehacks/2012 ... dahon.html
I'd call it the Deathwish Dahon.

If I had a bigger house I'd have a RANS Hammertruck, a CF and cargo bike in one. http://www.rans.com/bicycles/hammertruck.html

Thanks for the dahon hack link. I have a folder myself that I have managed to get 14" between my sit bones and the centre of the crank which is what convinced me to look CF. About to pull the trigger on a Sequoia frame set. It isn't hard to fit the full hammer truck rack to, so you never know, I might even do that one day. Std rack first though.

Just need to find a local LBS that is prepared to help on the build (or just do it all myself).
