Tony, there's loads of free street parking directly at the start point on browning street - either side of the street. There's also the carpark for the Melbourne over on edmonstone.redrover3 wrote:Ahh, Browning Street. It's all becoming clearer.Browning Street. Not being facetious.

Pretty sure i've got a few posts too, i'll have a look before i head for the big smoke this evening.diggerdantheman wrote:Bits are what I need. 27.2 seatpost, bars, short stem (i.e. 60mm) so I can get this blue thing goingldrcycles wrote:I might be interested in the jerseys. I twisted my ankle at work yesterday, so although not painful to cycle, I'll stick with ya & be ya riding buddy (gives me an excuse to take it a little easy on the ankle).
Everybody wearing their jersey's???????
Also, did I get the seat???????? (Somebody knows what I'm talking about).

Tony, we meet outside the Melbourne Hotel, or across the road from it, which is at the very (western) end of Browning Street.redrover3 wrote:Ahh, Browning Street. It's all becoming clearer.Browning Street. Not being facetious.
Tony
I'm usually 5 minutes late, but the others are always there at 6. Park on the street - it's free, and readily available at 6am.
Just be wary of the fixie kids that meet around there too.W are easy to spot - we don't wear jeans.

munga made it around despite his bronchitis.
dan looked resplendid in his colourful jersey.
dan's mate redrover3 (there ya go munga, sorry mate I wasn't aware of your forum name) rode a very pretty bike (look for it in the video)
Idr had a spring break in his rear derailleur on his bike (was amusing for us watching him do the cyclo-cross run jobby on the last few big climbs, well funny for us, not sure how he felt about it.)
elantra once again showed me how well he goes up anything resembling a slope (and how freaking bad I am at doing the same).
we also had Zynster on his Coppi along again.
And yours truly (Mr Pottymouth) slowing everyone else down by lagging behind on anything looking remotely like an upwards slope.
Also the soccer hooligans were present, blowing their little soccer whistle/horn thingie (ya bugger dan, took my farkin' soccer horn & rode off with it)
But all in all a good morning was had by most.
Here's todays video's--

All video's are now up & running.
Also had an incident a bit later in the day, when I got home I decided my legs weren't quite burnt out yet, so grabbed the EPO bike & went for another ride, going along Eatons Crossing Road I felt a shudder from the back of the bike, I just thought I'd run over a bit of loose tar (if you've ridden that road you will know how bad the surface is), about a minute or so later I realised that the backs of my legs were wet, a ute (white with aluminium tray, Toyota I think) had just past me, I'm assuming that someone in the ute may have thrown a bottle of water or similar at me, I'm guessing it hit the seat stay. Wasn't wearing the cam as it was downloading (unfortunately otherwise I'd be giving it to the cops), so if you ride around this area just be a little aware (not that you can see behind you!), I'm now thinking about mounting the little camera facing backwards on the helmet, just in case this sort of garbage ever happens again.

The broken spring-very frustrating, but the ride in general, the company, and the cross training? FANTASTIC! (can't wait to see the video ).Wal42 wrote: Idr had a spring break in his rear derailleur on his bike (was amusing for us watching him do the cyclo-cross run jobby on the last few big climbs, well funny for us, not sure how he felt about it.)
My little adventure down to Canungra was literally jaw dropping, the scenery and riding is mind blowing. 34 degrees and a headwind on the way up didn't make it any easier but what an amazing ride. Busy uploading photos and gps stuffs now.

Waz is still away (moi thinks),
vaeske is still cultivating melanoma's in the north,
Dan is away down south (freezing his wheel nuts off),
moi will be ever present (with Mr Pottymouth),
I think munga is coming (work permitting),
Anyone else?
Not sure on elantra & redrover3
ldr may have thoughts about coming again (we break his bike for him).
Stick ya hand up if you are going.
Cheers, ya bunch of bums.
