Inspired by a video of a velomobile ride from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, I've put up a couple of short videos on Youtube showing some of my favourite rides around Perth. (and the Hills obviously). If you have a video showing some particularly interesting stretch of road or track (dirt or tar) why not post up your own and perhaps encourage others to ride there?
First:
Riding my 'bent trike along the riverside not far from Ascot.

Second, going down Gooseberry Hill Road in the hills towards the lights at Kalamunda Road.

I hit about 71 km/h on this run. I was hoping to go down the Zig-Zag Road but there was a bushfire down the bottom. You can see one of the firetrucks on the right hand side just behind the fence at about 2:47 into the video, just before I go through the roundabout. I might do the Zig-Zag run another day.

Don't have a camera but I do love zooming down gooseberry hill, especially after grinding my way up it.
If you're after a nice downhill run Canning Mills road is great fun, better surface than Gooseberry Hill road and a longer run cracked 90km/h down it last time, scared the crap outta me though.

There was no bushfire on the Zig Zag today so I went down it.

Great fun, though not as fast as Gooseberry Hill road. Took about 10 minutes.
