Puncture Repair/Outfit tins

Postby Tinker » Tue Oct 23, 2012 6:25 pm

Not quite bicycles, but bicycle related none the less.

Let's just say I've been bitten by another collecting bug (need to install some bug netting around my place),that being the little tins that puncture repair kits came in.

Does anyone else collect these cycling related relics from the past?

Does anyone have any they no longer want or need that they might be willing to add to my small(but hopefully growing collection)or strike a deal for ?

I have collected 7 repair outfit tins over ten years. I have 2 John Bull long, 2 Dunlop long, a Dunlop Midget, a Leggitts small tin and and the oldest one I have an Austral long tin. Do you have a John Bull and and a Dunlop long?

Hiya Speedy, I have the John Bull one that is the lovely shade of pale blue version and the orange and blue John Bull junior version.

I've also got a Leggetts Senior Cycle outfit one. I don't have any Dunlop ones yet.

Are you still collecting them or do you wish to get rid of them?

I could perhaps trade 4 of my tins if you have any 50 year old bike parts to tempt me with? The 4 tins being Dunlop long, Dunlop Midget, Leggitts Midget, and a light blue John Bull.

Depends what type of parts you're after!
