Baby Blue Tamari Build
Postby Dan » Wed Oct 17, 2012 11:58 pm
56 square - gipiemme dropouts F&R - included gipiemme BB also. 1950g frame, 650g fork for 2600g total - lightest frameset I've had. Over bracket cable routing - stamped 7777 on underside of the bracket, along with 56 for sizing, along with a mystery 616 thrown in for good measure.
8 speed Campagnolo Mirage group - eBay, but a forum member
Stronglight heasdset (donated kindly by the Europa I bought a few weeks ago)
New veloce bottom bracket
32h frankenwheelset - campag rear, 600 tricolour FH for the time being.
after this afternoon's hour and a half session:
Bars and seatpost to come - most likely 3ttt Competizione or Deda Speciale. First foray into 27.2 territory, so need to source a post. Also need to source a 60mm stem - I run a short stem/short reach setup.
Saddle most likely a white Selle Italia XR I have floating about, until I finally order a brooks team professional - Munga, we really need to do that. Dark grey tape and black cable outers, I'd say.

The only thing i don't like is that it shows me up to be lso lazy. You guys whip these up in a weekend, but i sit there thinking about what bits to put on what bike, etc, etc. I've just gotta get in the shed and do it.

Anyway, I might borrow the saddle from the single speed (selle italia skippy edition) as the white is a bit too light against the blue.

I sure did but sold it recently... sigh. Funnily enough, my partner has a frame from John Mildenhall cycles which I thought was a nice coincidence.diggerdantheman wrote:Think erle may have one, too?

Shiteie, its hard to keep up with your builds... youve taken to this retro crap with gusto and with speeeed.
im embarrassed by my my low spec garage crap..........
and your building wheels now ... Say What.... where do you find the time. I thought the obsession with Representation and a new kid would keep you occupied for awhile at least . Man ,, where to you get the time
