One night in Bangkok

Any tips for bike part shopping in Thailand and Singapore? From what I can tell via the internet, some things are slightly cheaper there than in Australia, but I'm not sure where to look for the best bargains.

Like you, I thought I might pick up some cheap bike parts/kit while there. But my experience was that it was no cheaper than Australia, in fact it was more expensive, and certainly it was way more expensive than online stores such as Wiggle or c r c etc. So I came back empty handed.
And I didnt buy any fake watches either.......

I got hopeful when I saw the prices for servicing and repairs online but, as noted, the parts prices don't match up.
I also contacted Rohloff in the hope of getting a marked down speedhub in Asia, and man, their pricing is nailed down. You pay the same for that thing whether you're in Haiti or Switzerland.
Maybe better luck in Singapore, but I doubt it.

Not much between despair and ecstasy.
I can feel the devil walking next to me.

I'm going with my wife and in-laws. They'll know the best ping pong places. Right after we get into a fight with some American sailors and grab some heroin.wheels46 wrote:No cheap bike parts to be had... save your money for some ping-pong in Patpong.
