Ahh that must be it, he's got it set up for racing crits and wanted REALLY quick handling .Stuey wrote:He could have at least said that the mechanic adjusted the trail as part of the service.

The 3 inch gap between rear tyre and seat tube makes for pretty relaxed racing handling.rkelsen wrote:hehe... Biopace 'rings...

Looks like you've done the world a service, new forks being fitted apparently.munga wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 500wt_1414
emailed the seller:
"forks are bent.. health hazard"
reply:
"G'day, I thought so as well but couldn't see any damage to forks when removed. Just had it to mechanic who checked it over and they didn't report anything suspicious . Cheers Gary"
counter reply:
"great news for you. who's the mechanic? which shop if you don't mind?"

Hsin Lung are a Taiwanese manufacturer of various bike parts - they make exactly the kind of stuff a discerning aficionado specs for one's fakenago. Many would chose Cinelli or 3T, but this is pretentious - if you really want to stand out from the crowd, there's only one choice.ldrcycles wrote:What the heck is a "shimano 105 custom Hsinlung derailer handlebar" .

The thing is, it doesn't look like a bad bike. If he cut the BS and just said "Hey, here's my bike. It works, nothing to do on it. I don't know what it is, the stickers are aftermarket. The dimensions are..." he would probably do better. A well maintained mystery bike that you can ride away is a much better option than a fakenago.Clydesdale Scot wrote:and the seller advisesgrantw wrote:A fakenago with "puncher proof" tyres. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayISAPI ... Oh yeah i've got probably half a dozen of them in my shed, it's just when you put all of that together, i've never heard of a 'derailer handlebar' .grantw wrote:Hsin Lung are a Taiwanese manufacturer of various bike parts - they make exactly the kind of stuff a discerning aficionado specs for one's fakenago. As bigfriendlyvegan says, if the bloke was actually honest about what it is he would probably be more likely to sell it. I mean really, 6kg?

It's the Olympic rings that add the value. Seriously, I thought it might be a high end bike until I saw the pics (not knowing models etc from that era.)grantw wrote:Apparently this is worth $4-5k in some circles Malvern Star
