I tried bib knicks for the first time yesterday and OMGosh what a difference. It's not like my other knicks are super tight but not having the waist elastic is so comfy.
I did a cruisey 70+ km road ride which was risky for knicks I hadn't worn before but no issues with chafing. $20 from Torpedo 7. Great stuff. I didn't need a bio stop, still not sure how I'll work that bit out.
