So, did a quick 9km coffee collection run on the Tamari. Its snappy - perhaps as the bar position is a little lower than I'm used to. Hood/Ergo angle was good, and the ramp to hood transition also, but they're a little low, so I've readjusted to flatten the ramp like on all my other bikes. Sort of a shame, because there was something nice about the drops being perpendicular to the head tube. Oh well. I prefer riding on the hoods, so that extra inch makes a big difference in the everyday.
Trying to sneak out for a tune up river loop tomorrow AM, but methinks the first real test will be raturday...

Nice one dig', great mix of parts on it too.
More to add to the story it seems. I'm guessing yours might be an earlier model than the few I've seen with its high cable routing and tubular chainstay bridge.
Can't find a pic of the bridge but it's the same as this Basso...
...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

On a side note, the buyer for the R535s has gone cold now, so they may be availalble again - I'll let you know what eventuates, if you're still interested.
Thanks Shaun - the brake bridge is different from that Basso example though. Its a straight, narrow bridge, with a ferrule insert to take the bolt. No photo yet unfortunately.
