I am currently building up a classic Farleigh steel track frame, however have come accross an odd situation with the bottom bracket.
I went to try some standard british cups in it however they fell through... Italian or French you might say, however I measure the ID and it is at 35.4, so neither. Also has LH, RH thread standard for Engligh (or Swiss) BB's. I consulted Sheldon, but no joy. It appears the BB has been retreaded, but to take 1.4mm of the ID is some serrious rethreading. Has anyone come accross a problem such as this? Any suggested solutions welcome.

That is a bizarre problem. You need a slightly less bizarre solution.

Thanks for the replys guys
I had been considering a BB for damaged threads, the constructor site also have them available:
http://constructeur.com.au/all-products ... hreadless/
I have heard that they can be problematic in maintaining their tightness... any experiences?
