Has anyone here ever gone on one of those commercial cycle tours? Or thought about/looked into it? And if you've done one what was your expeerience like? I've noticed that there are numerous tours centred around the Tour De France for instance, all offering different styles of service from riding the route to just following it on a bus all with accomodation and maybe meals thrown in etc.
I've heard of some in Europe based on a culinary theme where one can basicaly do a resturant crawl down the coast in Italy for example and see if it's possible to put on weight while riding a bike.(I like the sound of this one the most.)
Then there are the really adventurous ones which cover a continent, South America, Africa etc. Would this type of thing appeal to you?
Just curious,
Pete
